The Sharjah Charity International (SCI) announced that more than 250,000 beneficiaries have benefited from the Iftar project, which has been ongoing since the first day of Ramadan, and will continue until the end of the Holy Month, across more than 41 countries around the world (“Sharjah Charity International implements Iftar project in over 41 countries,” March 27, Gulf Today Digital edition.)

This is an incredible move. I really appreciate the Sharjah Government for having such an amazing initiative. I am sure those countries will benefit from this initiative. We should learn from this gesture and should contribute to this noble cause. As we all know, Ramadan is all about sharing hence we should do something for our society on a regular basis and we should involve our children also to take part in such a drive.

Mohammed Hamdan Al Zari, Head of the Projects and Aid Sector at SCI, said that the Iftar project comes within the programmes that the SCI is keen to implement annually during Ramadan, to help the underprivileged, and complement the humanitarian assistance it provides in several countries around the world.
