The world needs great leaders like the UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan who held a phone call with Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine because it’s so important to resolve the deadly issue between Russia and Ukraine and avoid more misery and destruction (“UAE is doing everything in its power to prevent Ukraine crisis from worsening, says Mohamed,” Oct.18, Gulf Today website).

According to the news, during the call, the two sides discussed cooperation between the two countries, in addition to developments in the Ukraine crisis and the importance of de-escalation and reducing tensions through dialogue and diplomatic solutions.    

Sheikh Mohamed stressed that the UAE will exert all possible efforts to prevent the worsening of the crisis and help foster an atmosphere conducive to de-escalation and negotiations for the benefit of all parties.

Moreover, Sheikh Mohamed underscored that the Ukraine crisis has a serious impact, not only on Ukraine and Russia but also on the rest of the world, as it poses challenges to the global economy and international peace and security.

It’s the need of the hour to play an honest role and be a bridge between Russia and Ukraine to resolve the issue of the nine month long war.

The world should follow the UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan play a vital role in bringing about peace in both countries Russia and Ukraine.

The world is already in a lot of difficulty because of the Russia and Ukraine war. Russia is facing enormous international sanctions and in retaliation it is going to cut gas supplies to Europe. Europe relies heavily on Russian gas in the winter. Russian gas cuts to European countries will have serious consequences for the European people.

It’s high time for powerful countries to use their influence positively on both Russia and Ukraine and make sure the deadly dispute should be solved by meaningful dialogue not by the use of power.

Where there’s a will there’s a way. I hope the sense of peace will prevail. I am sure the sincere efforts by the world leaders to end the conflict between Russia and Ukraine will pave the way for peace and peace will prevail.
