Makers of latest released Bollywood film “Goodbye” had reduced the price of the ticket to Rs150 only for the opening day. This has happened for the first time. Superstar Amitabh Bachchan had announced on Twitter about this lucrative offer to bring back Indian audiences to cinema halls on day 1. This is a great move by Bollywood. Lots of people have appreciated this move but this initiative is indeed the need of the hour, as Bollywood is desperately searching for a hit.

So many films in the past have failed to connect with the audience. I don’t know how this initiative is going to make a difference, but I think the price of tickets needs to be reduced.

Post pandemic things have changed a lot. Indian audiences have got a taste of good content on OTT platforms which are a cheaper option, therefore they are very content with their entertainment need. I think Bollywood producers need to re-think now.
