After two years of a halt due to the disastrous COVID alas it’s once again time for me to enjoy a splendid “ONAM” and that too back home in Kerala. With students back to school and things getting back to normalcy, it’s time for some fun and frolic. From epic and folk tales to hundreds of men rowing the boats to the beat of drums and cymbals with a magnificent display of fireworks, many of my Malayalee fans are all decked up and ready. My wife won’t get an opportunity this time to be with loved ones as she just had her little one-month of episodes of lush a few months back.

In the midst of our dreary frantic lifestyle, take little time out to relish those little memories with your loved ones. What’s the use of Onam without traditional rituals, homemade curries, sweet payasam, and of course without the traditional dance?

Residing in Dubai I can reckon how the revelries have kick-started in full swing back home and I can’t wait to get home. So time to loosen up, have fun, and smile as these are the times to enjoy our own festivals.

Reminiscing the time, I got to see many young men and women wearing the traditional attire to work at this juncture looking alluring with their heavy trinkets. Wishing every Malayalee in Dubai and around the world a very pleasant and affluent Onam. Now let me get set to pack my bags for a two-week nap far from the hustle and bustle enjoying the scenic serene greenery and sunshine.
