The President addresses the nation.

The beauty of promise is that it gives birth to living man’s most powerful driving force, hope, which keeps our universe ticking. Therefore, we heard, we read and re-read the speech of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. In his address to the nation, he promised to work towards the United Arab Emirates’ progress and the well-being of all those who walk under its flag. The words were heart-warming

and reassuring. They were so because, unlike a good number of leaders, the UAE leaders keep the promises they make. The enviable development witnessed in the last 50 years is ample proof of that.

They have indeed worked tirelessly and flawlessly to empower people

“The people of the UAE, and striving to empower them, has always been and continues to be our nation’s top priority. Ensuring our people have everything they need to live comfortable and happy lives, remains the basis of all our future plans,” the President said.

The leaders have worked tirelessly and flawlessly to empower people with what makes their lives an uplifting exercise in material and spiritual bliss. They have ensured that those living in the country enjoy complete freedom to sleep at an hour of their choice and not return home fearing mafia-blessed miscreants in the lanes and by-lanes of towns. There is a security system that is hundred per cent efficient and has kept the towns free of antisocial elements.

They have ensured that people get the freedom to snuggle up to the trouble-free quiet of the beaches at any time of the day or any time of the night. And in the quiet, hear the swell and the fall of heaving reveries and breathe in the air rendered pleasant by the lisping waters.

The leaders have indeed meant what they have said and mean what they are saying. And this is not borrowed knowledge. This is unalloyed wisdom.
