The war between Russia and Ukraine has shocking consequences for the whole world. It will lead the world towards economic disaster, destruction and an uncertain future (“Death and destruction after Russian rockets hit apartment block in Ukraine,” July 11, Gulf Today website).

According to the reports, at least 15 people were killed and two dozen more are feared trapped after Russian Uragan rockets hit a five-storeyed apartment block in Ukraine’s Donetsk region, local officials said on Sunday as rescuers picked their way through rubble. Ukraine also reported clashes with Russian troops on fronts in the east and south, while Moscow said its forces struck Ukrainian army hangars storing US-produced M777 howitzers, a type of artillery, near Kostyantynivka in Donetsk region.

The poor people of Ukraine are sacrificing their lives and homes. It’s time Russia and Ukraine should realise the burning situation, start a meaningful dialogue and solve all deadly conflicts. Both the countries, Russia and Ukraine, have the responsibility to save their innocent people.

I hope the powerful countries will play their honest role in bringing both countries on the negotiation table because there is no military solution at all. Russia and Ukraine can solve their outstanding issues through negotiations.
