The United Arab Emirates decision of easy entry procedures for Ukrainian and not to fine Ukrainian people who stay in the United Arab Emirates after their travel documents expired is highly laudable. There is no doubt that Ukrainian people are going through the toughest time of their lives because of the ongoing war in their country (“UAE eases entry procedures for Ukrainians, no fines after visa expiration,” June 13, Gulf Today website).

The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH) issued a circular to medical treatment service providers and health insurance companies firms licensed by the Department of Health to work in the health field, regarding Cabinet Resolution No. (6/8/W) of 2019 to grant citizens of crisis-stricken countries and war zones an extendable one-year permit. It’s been four months now since the start of the Russian special operation in Ukraine, the situation in Ukraine is so uncertain, no idea when the dispute between Russia and Ukraine will be over in this situation, it is difficult for Ukrainian expatriates to keep their travel documents up to the mark and renew their visas. It is a great decision by the United Arab Emirates’ government to provide a huge relief to the Ukrainian people in their difficult time easing emigration rules till the situation in Ukraine will improve.
