Amber Heard

There seem to be a lot of celebrities involved in some very high-profile court cases at the moment. I am not just talking about Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, but also Blac Chyna and the Kardashian/Jenners. Keeping with that theme we thought we would take a look at some of the most famous spats celebrities have had while filming a movie together.

Speaking of Amber Heard, (who in the world isn’t?) after shooting the movie “London Fields” she became embroiled in a lawsuit with producers claiming production had broken her nudity agreement by using a body double. The film was taken out of the Toronto Film Festival in 2015, but they were able to settle the suit. The movie ended up being put on hold until 2018.

Tom Hardy has been creating a stir with a couple of his co-stars. Apparently while filming the 2012 “Western Lawless,” Hardy had a physical fight with Shia LaBeouf although he later claimed it was just a joke. But the director John Hillcoat has said that the pair definitely did have a real fight.

Charlize Theron, in 2020, opened up about the feud she and Hardy had on “Mad Max: Fury Road.” Hardy later claimed the pressure on both of them caused the tension and that he was older and wiser. Back in February of this year Theron revealed in a book that she was “scared” of Hardy on set after a fight when he showed up three hours late to film.

With such passion for their acting, and also their huge egos that come with their reputations of being Hollywood’s elite, there will always exist tension on movie sets with actors. The ongoing Heard and Depp case is a much more serious matter but one in which Johnny is coming off in a much better light than Amber.
