Indian news channels are so obsessed with celebrities and their lifestyles that even after few days of marriage of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, Indian media still talking and debating about it. Story of their marriage is still hogging the limelight.  

Every newspaper and news channel is flooded with details of their marriage, forget social media. On Thursday, it looked as if whole country was only waiting for this marriage to happened. News channel have made this marriage like a great Indian wedding. We know that common people have an interest in stars’ life.

They want to know each and everything about their heroes, but such an exhaustive coverage on a marriage looks utter nonsense after one point of time. This should have been avoided. We have so many other issues in India, other than marriage, so media should also focus on other issue which are of paramount importance. Media don’t talk about the issues which affects our daily life.

They have become like entertainment channels and they keep us entertaining with news of marriage, engagement or fashion. I don’t know when we would be able to become a responsible citizen?
