Sudden change

India cricket

Indian players appear to be playing without any team spirit due to which they had to face humiliating whitewash at the hands of South Africa.

Team India’s poor form continued in the ODI series also against South Africa. The Indian team looked very ordinary in the Test and ODI. The same players who had turned the table in earlier matches for India, failed to even give their best.

Be it stand-by captain K L Rahul, Reshabh Pant, Bhubaneswar Kumar or Jaspreet Bumrah. I am shocked to see the performance of the team. I feel something is wrong in the dressing room.

Since the time Virat Kohli has stepped down from captaincy, the team looked very ordinary. They had the same mindset in the recently concluded T20 World Cup. International players can’t play like this. They should give their best irrespective of captain or coach.

I am sure the BCCI president, Sourav Ganguly, will look into the matter once the team return home. These players should be grilled by the board for such a performance. The time will tell whether these players are supporting Virat or opposing Rahul Dravid. But such an approach from International players are not expected. They are professional cricketers and they are doing national duty.

Such incidents were rampant in other countries, but I have never experienced something of this sort in an Indian dressing room.
