This year is going to be a good one for movies, I can just feel it. This week we have made a list of some of the most exciting titles that are due to be released this year, and there certainly is something for everyone.

Who can believe that “Avatar” was released back in 2009? Since then we have been patiently waiting on a part two from director James Cameron after he announced there would be sequels in 2010. It has been a long wait. Zoe Saldana, Sam Worthington and many more big names will be making their way back to Pandora along with a slew of other new names including Kate Winslet, Vin Diesel and Eddie Falco. “Avatar 2” was supposed to be released back in 2014 but got delayed for various reasons.

I used to be a fan of the Batman movies, but I went off them a few years back. We are being blessed (can you hear my sarcasm?) with another one though and this time its Robert Pattinson in the black latex suit. For his debut, Pattinson teamed up with “Planet of the Apes” director Matt Reeves to bring us “The Batman.” Also starring are Zoë Kravitz playing Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler and Colin Farrell as Penguin.

There is no one who would not want to see Julia Roberts and George Clooney star together in a movie again. This time it is “Ticket to Paradise” from the director of “Mamma Mia 2” Ol Parker. The pair play a divorced couple who fly to Bali to convince their daughter, played by Kaitlyn Dever, not to marry a handsome stranger she’s just met. This sounds like a lot of fun.
