I congratulate the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for rethinking and including former Pakistani captain Sarfaraz Ahmad, Fakhar Zaman and Haider Ali and veteran Shoaib Malik in their ICC T20 World Cup squad. Sarfaraz definitely deserved a place in this squad. He has been a seasoned campaigner for the Pakistan and has lots of cricket left in him.

I also congratulate Mohammed Waseem, Chief Selector, for picking up a veteran like Sarfaraz. The PCB deserves praise for such a wonderful act. It is not easy to go back and review decisions, but Waseem did for the betterment of the country.

Now the team looks complete. It has full balance. With Sarfaraz and Malik in the squad, the middle order looks solid and is well balanced. Both the players can lift the game from anywhere. They have done this a number of times for their team. Their presence merely will lift the morale of youngsters. This shows that the PCB looked at the performance of each and every player during the ongoing National T20 matches. Each and every move of PCB indicates that Chairman Rameez Raja is on the job. We have lots of expectations from Raja. He is one of the few Pakistani players who happened to share the dressing room with legendary captain Imran Khan. Raja, like Khan, always talks about being the best in the business. This is the first time I have noticed so many former cricketers are in and around PCB, so we can expect a better outcome in the World Cup matches. Winning or losing is part and parcel of the game, but staying competitive is what we fans expect from our team.
