This year’s Nobel Peace Prize has been awarded to World Food Programme for its contribution to combating hunger in conflict and disaster struck zones.

The dedicated volunteers and staff of the World Food Programme have been going beyond the call of duty to avert starvation death on this planet. Kudos for this kind gesture.

This award is spreading a valuable message of humanity that as human beings, it is an essential duty to be fulfilled for those who are living to wretchedness and deprivation state.

In this materialistic world, millions of people every day go to bed each night on an empty stomach without having a single morsel of food. For them, the sun will rise tomorrow, but no ray of hope rise that bring food onto their plates.

Especially, on the occasion of Holiday and festive season need to remember needy people. We should pour more charity and donation so poor folk in our society can participate without let them feeling any deprive right of enjoyment.

The happy celebration could become more pious and worth celebrating event when we manifest gesture of generosity towards underprivileged people.

Any cultural festival not to be celebrated without the fulfilment of the requirement of needy so they could also join in the celebration without any hesitation.  Sharing and caring attitude always keep us happy.

We need to create a culture of caring and compassion for the destitute and downtrodden people around us.

The pangs of hunger must be experienced to be understood, and those who have food to eat should not avert their eyes from the hungry.  It is not possible to build peace on empty belly.

The Nobel Prize to the WFP will hopefully nudge our collective conscience to get together and relieve this looming humanitarian crisis.
