Fantastic Four

I have already laughed at the Cover Story with the team; can you imagine doing this awful project at university and then having to see that project and forever be reminded of it? It must be awful for a director of a major movie to hate the work he has done; it most certainly will not go away. This week we take a look at some of the biggest directors who admit to hating what they’ve directed.

Josh Trank directed “Fantastic Four” which gathering an impressive array of actors including Kate Mara, Jamie Bell, and Michael B Jordan to name a few. Apparently, the issues for Trank began post-production where he was forced by the studio to make changes he didn’t want to make. He ended up doing extensive reshoots but spoke out against the film on Twitter before its global release. This was probably the reason it bombed at the box office. Imagine the level of frustration Trank would have felt to go to such extremes before the film was even released.

Woody Allen, the wonderful but slightly strange director of some of the best films of all time admits to not liking some of his own work. He names a few of the movies that he doesn’t like and they include “Annie Hall” and “Manhattan” both of which have won major awards. He prefers some of his other movies instead. Does anyone else find him as enigmatic as I do? There is something very strange there.
