Not just the American President, the whole world wants to crush the virus. When that will happen will be best told by the researchers and scientists, not politicians (“Trump says US to ‘crush’ COVID-19 with vaccine this year”, Aug. 28, Gulf Today).

Trump has a platform and of course a decisive election at hand. So it is but natural that he would want the American people to believe that he can at least ‘crush’ the virus, if not the opposition.

One has to give it to him when it comes to optimism. He is without doubt one of the most optimistic leader in the world. No harm in being optimistic. But don’t forget he had promised to Make America Great Again, health insurance for all and of course build the wall. He did clear the swamp instead.
