UAE scripted history launching the Hope Probe, the first Arab mission to Mars. A proud moment for the leaders and citizens of the country, but more so for humanity, as it will give vital information to scientists on the Red planet (“Hope Probe launch, UAE makes history with first Arab Mars mission,” July 20, Gulf Today).

The leadership also needs to be praised because they chose to continue with the launch despite the hurdles posed by the deadly pandemic. A determination such as this speaks volumes of the visionary leadership.

Emirati engineers and the whole team also deserve praise. Well done, UAE.
