It is good news that tourists and people who are on visit visas and are stuck in the United Arab Emirates for the last few months because of the COVID-19 pandemic can exit the country or can change their visa status (“Tourists with expired visas given 30 days grace period to leave UAE,” July 18, Gulf Today).

The government has announced that the tourists or visitors would be given a 30-day grace period to leave the country after August 11.

The authorities said that tourists could change their visa status to continue their stay in the country. The amendments were made for those whose visas expired after March 1.

It’s time for people get their visas updated or leave the country during a given time.
