The world is upside down from Coronavirus at the moment with most of us working from home and self-isolating. This week we are taking a look at some of the best movies to watch while we wait for this madness to be over.

We need movies that will help us escape the reality of life just now. The “Avengers” franchise is a perfect choice for days at home. The four superhero movies by Marvel won big at the box-office every single time. If you haven’t seen them now is the time to watch them, and if you have seen them then this is definitely the right time to watch them again.

If you’re in the mood for a bit of psychological horror then “The Shining” is a great option. The legendary Jack Nicholson plays a struggling writer who agrees to become the caretaker of an isolated hotel during off-season in the winter. Many strange incidents occur while the characters struggle to stay alive. The movie came out in 1980 and is based on a novel of the same name by Stephen King.

If animations are your thing then “Spirited Away” and “Inside Out” should definitely be on your list. “Spirited Away” is by Japanese animation genius Hayao Miyazaki whose creations appeal to both children and adults alike. “Inside Out” does the same by appealing to all generations. The story follows a little girl who struggles to adapt to a move across country with her family.
