Imran Khan’s message to Modi is highly laudable

Imran Calls Modi

Imran Khan and Narendra Modi

Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan’s congratulatory message via Twitter to his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi on his party victory, offering to work together towards peace and prosperity of the region, and second time elected Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s positive re-tweet is highly laudable.

The negotiations, not war, are the only solution to any dispute between the two countries. There is no doubt that both India and Pakistan are atomic power countries, any misadventurism from any side will lead both the nations to unbearable losses (“Pakistan’s PM Imran congratulates India’s Modi on election win,” Gulf Today).

In his congratulatory note, Imran Khan told his Indian counterpart  he looked forward to working with the premier for “peace, progress and prosperity in South Asia.”

“Congratulate Prime Minister Modi on the electoral victory of BJP and allies. Look forward to working with him for peace, progress and prosperity in South Asia,” Imran Khan tweeted.

His message came just hours after Pakistan’s military said it tested a surface-to-surface ballistic missile capable of carrying conventional and nuclear warheads.

Pakistan is always ready for talks with India and ready to resolve all long-standing issues between the countries peacefully.

It is the prime responsibility of the elected leaders of both countries to find a solution to disputes and resolve it once and for all for the sake of their own people.

Nothing is impossible, where there’s a will there’s a way. I hope that the newly elected Indian government will take this seriously and start peace negotiations with Pakistan. I hope soon both the countries will resolve their burning issues through talks and provide a better future to their nations.
