Deadly terror attack that shook the world

The world should know now that terrorists have nothing to do with religion, so labelling terrorists with any religion is total injustice (“Funerals begin for New Zealand mosque shooting victims,” March 16, Gulf Today).

The whole world has condemned the terror attack in which a ‘right-wing extremist’ armed with semi-automatic weapons rampaged through two mosques in the quiet New Zealand city of Christchurch during afternoon prayers on Friday, killing 49 worshippers and wounding dozens more.

Political and Islamic leaders across Asia and the Middle East condemned the killings and voiced concern over the targeting of Muslims. “I blame these increasing terror attacks on the current Islamophobia post-9/11,” Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan posted on social media. “1.3 billion Muslims have collectively been blamed for any act of terror.”

I would like to appreciate the reaction of the Muslim world after the New Zealand mosque terrorist attack in which they didn’t club any religion with terrorism but in a responsible way mentioned that terrorists have no religion.

It is the need of the hour that the world should be on the same page on this issue, regardless of any religion, and takes some serious action to eradicate the menace of terrorism in the world.
