Abu Dhabi to host peace talks between Russia, Ukraine, says US envoy

The US envoy Steve Witkoff announced on Monday that Abu Dhabi will host trilateral talks on November 10–11, bringing together officials from the United States, Russia, and Ukraine as part of efforts to end the ongoing war between Moscow and Kyiv.

In a post on X, Witkoff said Washington will mediate working-level negotiations between Russian and Ukrainian representatives. The discussions will focus on post-war security arrangements, de-escalation, humanitarian issues, and the next steps toward a peace agreement.

He added that American negotiators will meet later this week in Brussels, the Belgian capital, with representatives from France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the European Union, and NATO.

According to Witkoff, the Brussels talks will address security guarantees for Ukraine, the future of Europe’s post-war security architecture, and economic opportunities to support Ukraine’s reconstruction.

These diplomatic initiatives are part of a US effort to align positions on a potential settlement as the war continues and complex security and political challenges remain.
