Ethiopia has welcomed the United Arab Emirates’ nomination of Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, Minister of State, for the position of Secretary-General of the United Nations.
In a post on the platform "X," the Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Ethiopia—as a founding member of the United Nations—attaches great importance to the office of the UN Secretary-General. Consequently, Ethiopia welcomes the nomination of Lana Nusseibeh, noting that her distinguished service, strong commitment to multilateralism, and extensive diplomatic experience further enrich an already impressive and accomplished field of female candidates.
