The UAE's National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) expects rain to fall on scattered parts of the country today (Sunday) in the afternoon, predicting more opportunities of rainfall to continue for the next five days.
The NCM also expects weather condition for today to be sunny to partly cloudy and humid in the morning in some coastal and inland areas with chances of cumulus clouds formation towering over the eastern parts in the afternoon. This could be accompanied by rainfall. The winds will be southeasterly to northeasterly blowing at light to moderate speed, and sometimes brisk to strong stirring dust coinciding with cloud cover. The sea conditions are expected to be mild in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
On Monday, the weather is predicted to be mostly fair, becoming later partly cloudy skies. Morning humidity in coastal and inland zones might lead to fog or mist formation. There's a likelihood of convective clouds forming in the east and moving toward some inland and western areas by afternoon, potentially bringing rain. Winds will be southeasterly to northwesterly. They are generally expected to be light to moderate but could become active or strong, particularly around clouds, causing dust to rise. Wind speeds will range from 10 to 25 km/h, with occasional bursts up to 50 km/h. Sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman may remain calm.
NCM expects similar weather conditions to remain for Tuesday, with fair to partly cloudy skies and morning humidity that may lead to fog. Convective clouds are likely in the east, spreading inland and westward by afternoon, possibly bringing scattered showers. Winds will persist southeasterly to northwesterly, maintaining similar speed and activity levels.
Wednesday's weather is expected to be fair with intervals of partly cloudy skies. Morning humidity may lead to fog development. Convective clouds might appear in the afternoon, bringing potential rain. Winds will continue from the southeast, turning northwest with speeds from 10 to 25 km/h, sometimes reaching 50 km/h, and may stir dust if they become strong.
On Thursday, the weather is expected to remain clear to partly cloudy with morning humidity in coastal and inland areas, creating possible fog. Cumulus clouds might develop in the west during the afternoon, potentially resulting in some rain showers. Winds will stay southeasterly, gradually shifting to northwesterly. They will generally be light to moderate but can occasionally reach speeds of up to 40 km/h. Sea conditions in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman may continue to be calm.
