As part of its ongoing efforts to safeguard lives and strengthen maritime security, the National Guard’s Coast Guard unit successfully rescued 22 Asian nationals after a fire broke out on an oil tanker in the Arabian Gulf.
The rescue operation was initiated upon receiving a distress call from the tanker’s crew reporting the onboard fire. Specialized response teams promptly mobilized, located the vessel, and carried out the rescue of all 22 crew members. The team also provided immediate first aid before transferring the individuals to the appropriate authorities. All crew members are reported to be in stable condition.
