A new four-day outdoor festival in Dubai with the participation of 200 brands, 50 clubs and communities, and more than 50 activities will bring together motoring, camping, adventure activities, food and family entertainment, as more residents look for ways to spend the cooler winter months outdoors.
The Motor, Outdoor & Camping Festival (MOC27) will take place from Jan.14 to Jan.17, 2027 at The Sevens Stadium Grounds, covering more than 350,000 square metres. The event is expected to feature more than 200 brands, 50 clubs and communities, and more than 50 activities.
Presented as part of DSF Auto Season, the festival is designed around the UAE's growing outdoor culture, bringing together activities that are often spread across separate events.
“MOC was never meant to be another car show or another desert party. It's a festival for dad, mum, son and daughter, built around the clubs and communities who live the outdoors every day. If visitors just watch and walk, we haven't done our job,” said Justyn Cánovas, CEO & Senior Partner of MOC27 and JBCM Event Architects.
Families can explore camping and outdoor equipment, while visitors interested in motoring, hiking, cycling, adventure sports and other outdoor activities will also have dedicated areas to explore.
He said “the festival will include five main areas covering motors, outdoor activities, camping, community groups and family entertainment. Visitors will be able to see and try equipment and activities before making purchases, including 4x4 test drives, dirt-bike experiences and rooftop tent demonstrations.”
A dedicated community area will bring together UAE clubs and associations covering 4x4s, overlanding, motorcycles, hiking, cycling and marine activities. Non-profit clubs will receive free stand space, while their members can receive discounts of up to 30%.
"More families than ever are exploring the UAE beyond its cities, and MOC27 gives that community a home. Together with JBCM, we're building a festival that puts the UAE on the global map for family outdoor living, and one that will return every season," added John Andrew Camillo, Founder & CEO, Oryx Signature.
The programme will also include children's activities, a wildlife and nature area, wellness and women's spaces, an Emirati majlis, talks, food areas and an evening programme featuring live music, DJs and an open-air cinema.
The event is being organised through a long-term partnership between JBCM Event Architects, which created the MOC concept, and Oryx Signature, which is responsible for its marketing and production. The partnership combines JBCM's experience delivering festivals in more than 35 countries with Oryx Signature's experience in the UAE market.
MOC27 is backed by Dubai Department of Economy & Tourism and is intended to become a recurring platform for the UAE's outdoor lifestyle community. Organisers also say they are developing two future concepts, MOCRV and MOCMarine, which would extend the platform into recreational vehicles and marine activities.
