During an event attended by Fahad Mohammed Salem Kardous Al Ameri, the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Sharjah Agricultural and Livestock Production Establishment, also known as EKTIFA, signed a cooperation agreement with Encyclo Trade and Better Foods.
The partnership aims to supply and promote organic and healthy food products, increasing their availability in the Bahraini market.
The agreement was formalised on the sidelines of the inaugural "Made in GCC 2026" Forum and Exhibition, which took place at Exhibition World Bahrain from Oct.6 to Oct.8.
Among the products introduced to the Bahraini market are Meliha Dairy items as well as Saba Sanabel flour and pasta products.
These offerings are now available in several retail outlets across various regions of the Kingdom. This collaboration highlights the potential for partnerships among GCC companies in the organic food sector, bolsters the presence of Gulf-made products, and provides consumers with an expanded range of choices.
Dr. Eng. Khalifa Musabeh Al Teneiji, Chairman of the Department of Agriculture and Livestock and CEO of Sharjah Agricultural and Livestock Production Establishment "EKTIFA," expressed that the agreement with Encyclo Trade and Better Foods marks a significant step in EKTIFA's efforts to broaden the reach of its organic products in Gulf markets and to establish new avenues for commercial and marketing collaboration. This partnership aims to improve consumer access to these products in the Kingdom of Bahrain and throughout the GCC.
He noted that the collaboration with Encyclo Trade and Better Foods is part of EKTIFA's strategy to foster more commercial partnerships among private-sector entities in GCC countries. Al Teneiji also pointed out that EKTIFA's involvement in the “Made in GCC 2026” Forum and Exhibition created an opportunity to engage with Gulf companies and institutions, identifying potential areas for cooperation.
He stressed the value of such events in promoting intra-GCC trade and enhancing integration between the food and industrial sectors across the region.
The agreement aligns with the opportunities presented by the “Made in GCC 2026” Forum and Exhibition, enabling Gulf companies to connect, explore areas for cooperation, and share expertise. This strengthens commercial partnerships and supports the growth and expansion of Gulf products in the GCC market.
