Sharjah drivers told to move vehicles off road after minor accidents

Vehicle accidents, no matter how minor, must be handled according to specific procedures to ensure the safety of the driver and passengers, and maintain the flow of traffic. It is important to quickly report the accident and complete the necessary procedures to issue the accident report, according to Abdulrahman Al Shamsi, Director of Rafid traffic solutions.

Al Shamsi explained that the first step is to ensure the safety of passengers and people at the accident site, then secure the vehicle and move it away from the path of vehicle traffic, whenever possible, to avoid additional accidents and ensure the flow of traffic.

Al Shamsi added that smart applications belonging to the relevant authorities can be used to report accidents and complete procedures faster, noting that the Rafid smart application can be used to submit the report and picture the damages, which saves time and effort, and also contributes to accelerating the process of obtaining the accident report without the need to wait for the arrival of a patrol in cases where the nature of the accident allows for electronic handling.
