Major General Hareb Al Shamsi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief for Criminal Affairs at Dubai Police, honoured a group of outstanding employees from the General Department of Correctional and Punitive Institutions for their performance during the first half of 2026.
The employees were recognised for their dedication, outstanding performance and contributions to improving work standards and advancing institutional excellence.
Al Shamsi said recognising outstanding employees is a genuine acknowledgement of their dedication and an incentive to continue working with a positive spirit.
He praised employees for their commitment to delivering the highest standards of performance, which contributes to improving the quality of services and strengthening a culture of excellence and innovation.
Their efforts, he added, support the General Department of Correctional and Punitive Institutions in fulfilling its security, correctional and humanitarian mission.
Al Shamsi emphasised the importance of investing in people and encouraging talented employees to propose initiatives and development ideas.
He noted that institutional excellence is achieved through qualified personnel who demonstrate initiative and work together as one team.
He encouraged the recognised employees to continue pursuing excellence and innovation, while continuously developing their skills and capabilities in line with Dubai Police’s aspirations for leadership, readiness and proactivity.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, Al Shamsi congratulated all the recognised employees and expressed his appreciation for their dedicated efforts.

The recognition ceremony was held at the Dubai Police Officers Club in the presence of Major General Eid Mohammad Thani Harib, Assistant Commander in Chief for Criminal Investigation Affairs; Brigadier Musabah Al Ghafli, Assistant Commander in Chief for Operations Affairs; Brigadier Sultan Al Owais, Director of the General Department of Correctional and Punitive Institutions; and a number of senior officers and employees.
