Altercation in the cockpit behind the diversion of flydubai's flight to a Tel Aviv

A flydubai spokesperson reported an incident inside the cockpit of flight FZ1073, which was travelling from Dubai International Airport to Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv on Wednesday (Sept.30).

The spokesperson noted that the flight crew successfully managed the situation, safely diverting the flight to land at Tabuk Airport in Saudi Arabia, ensuring the safety of all passengers and crew.

Flydubai dispatched two replacement flights to Tabuk, highlighting the airline's focus on ensuring passengers reach their destination in Tel Aviv.

The spokesperson also confirmed that flydubai’s operations across its network remain on schedule.

While the causes and motives behind the incident are still unknown and under investigation, he advised against speculation until all facts are determined by authorities.

The spokesperson emphasised that the airline's immediate priority is the safety and well-being of all involved while supporting the official investigation into the matter.

Earlier a flydubai spokesperson has confirmed that flight FZ1073, en route from Dubai International Airport to Ben Gurion International Airport on Wednesday, encountered an incident during the flight.

The spokesperson stated that the aircraft landed safely at Tabuk Airport in Saudi Arabia, confirming that all passengers are safe.

"The safety of our passengers and crew remains our top priority," the spokesperson said.

He added that flydubai teams are working closely with the relevant authorities, noting that further updates will be announced as they become available.
