Etihad Rail opens ticket sales for Abu Dhabi-Dubai, Dubai-Fujairah journeys from Dhs39

Etihad Rail has opened ticket sales for passenger train journeys connecting Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Fujairah. This comes ahead of the Dubai station's launch on September 30. Tickets are priced as low as Dhs39 for Standard Class and Dhs109 for Premium Class, with direct travel times between stations clocking in at one hour and four minutes.

According to the current booking schedule, Etihad Rail offers several daily trips between these major cities. These trips are spread across morning, afternoon, and evening slots, providing travelers with various options as this new phase of the passenger rail network begins operations.

For service from Abu Dhabi to Dubai, trains depart at 6:43 am-arriving at 7:47 am, and 7:43 am-arriving at 8:47 am. Afternoon and evening services from Abu Dhabi include departures at 12:43 pm-arriving in Dubai at 1:47 pm, and 4:43 pm-arriving at 5:47 pm, and 5:43 pm-arriving at 6:47 pm, with each journey taking one hour and four minutes.

Traveling in the opposite direction, the first scheduled train leaves Dubai Station at 6:14 am and arrives at Abu Dhabi Station at 7:18 am, followed by a trip departing at 7:14 am and arriving at 8:18 am. Additional trips include a departure from Dubai at 1:14 pm, reaching Abu Dhabi at 2:18 pm, a journey starting at 5:14 pm and concluding at 6:18 pm, and finally, a trip departing at 6:14 pm and arriving in Abu Dhabi at 7:18 pm. Each trip takes approximately one hour and four minutes.

The booking details reveal that the journey from Fujairah to Dubai takes one hour and 10 minutes. Trains leave Fujairah Station at 11:54 am and arrive at Dubai Station at 1:04 pm, with ticket prices starting at Dhs29 for "Comfort" class and Dhs89 for "Premium" class. In the opposite direction, trips run from Dubai to Fujairah, departing at 1:57 pm and arriving at 3:07 pm, maintaining the same journey time and ticket pricing.

For the Abu Dhabi–Dubai route, "Comfort" class tickets begin at Dhs39, while "Premium" class starts at Dhs109. However, some trips see varying "Premium" fares, with one instance priced at Dhs129 for a journey from Dubai to Abu Dhabi.

As tickets are released ahead of the opening of the Dubai station on September 30, this marks the next phase in expanding the UAE’s passenger rail network. This follows the earlier launch of services between Abu Dhabi and Fujairah on June 30.

Including Dubai in the passenger rail network signifies a significant step in extending service coverage and linking major cities, population centers, and economic hubs through the national railway system. The network's growth will continue over the coming months as more stations open according to the planned operational schedule, all part of Etihad Rail's strategy to connect more areas within the country to a comprehensive rail network.
