UAE President mourns death of Sheikh Ahmed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan has mourned the death of Sheikh Ahmed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who passed away on Monday morning.

Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed said on X, “I extend my sincere condolences to Mohammed Bin Rashid on the passing of his brother Sheikh Ahmed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, whose longstanding contributions to the development of the UAE since its founding continue to inspire our nation’s journey of progress.

“May God rest his soul in eternal peace and mercy and grant his loved ones comfort during this difficult time.”

The Court of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, mourned the passing of the late Sheikh Ahmed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

The Court has declared a ten-day period of official mourning in Dubai, during which flags will be flown at half-mast, effective today, Monday.
