UAE Finance Minister mourns the death of Sheikh Ahmed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum

Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and UAE Minister of Finance, has mourned the death of Sheikh Ahmed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who passed away on Monday morning.

Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed wrote on X, “Today, the UAE and Dubai mourn the loss of Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum—a steadfast supporter of Dubai’s rulers and a key figure in the establishment of the UAE Armed Forces. He was deeply loved by the people of Dubai, and his cherished memory remains alive in the hearts of all who knew him.

“Though Sheikh Ahmed is no longer with us in person, he lives on in our hearts and prayers. We ask Allah Almighty to shower him with His vast mercy, grant him a place in the highest heavens, and grant us patience and solace.

“Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed, to Him we shall return.”
