Abu Dhabi Labour Court recovers Dhs7.8 million in rights for 948 workers in 3 cases

The Abu Dhabi Labor Court efficiently secured Dhs7.812 million for 948 workers by swiftly resolving three collective cases. This achievement demonstrates significant efficiency and adaptability, ensuring the protection of financial rights and enhancing job stability for the workers while showcasing the robust nature of Abu Dhabi’s judicial system.

The coordinated efforts between the Court, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, and the involved enforcement parties led to the successful collection and distribution of funds. These settlements, achieved through judicial deposits or direct agreements, covered a part of the total claims amounting to Dhs12.308 million all finalized in less than three months from the filing of complaints.

As a result, 457 workers received full settlements of their entitlements, while 491 had partial settlements, with arrangements in place for the remaining balances to be paid through regular installment plans to assure continued recovery.

This settlement mechanism has allowed workers to continue their employment with the companies facing enforcement actions, contributing to job stability, supporting economic activity, and ensuring uninterrupted production while the process to settle outstanding payments proceeds.

This initiative underlines the Court’s strong commitment to swiftly resolving disputes and ensuring the recovery of rights in line with applicable laws and regulations. It also emphasizes a strengthened partnership with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation to boost the effectiveness of enforcement procedures and promote a sustainable, stable working environment.
