'Smile in the Classroom' event by Dubai Police brings happiness to 400 students in Hatta

Hatta Police Station, in partnership with Tarahum Charity Foundation, organised a community event titled "Smile in the Classroom" targeting 400 students from underprivileged and limited-income families at the new Hatta Council, as part of the Dubai Police General Command's efforts to consolidate the values of solidarity and compassion, and to enhance the police’s humanitarian and community role in bringing happiness to various segments of society.

Brigadier Mubarak Al Ketbi, Director of the station, affirmed that humanitarian and community initiatives represent a fundamental basis in the Dubai Police work system, embodying our vision that policing is not limited to maintaining security and enhancing the sense of safety, in a way that improves quality of life and consolidates the values of social cohesion and solidarity.

Al Ketbi said: "We are keen to ensure that humanitarian work has an active and sustainable presence in our initiatives and community programmes, and that we reach different groups of society through them, as making 400 students happy and sharing their preparations to return to the classroom reflects the strength of the partnership between government, charitable, and private institutions, and their ability to create a tangible positive impact on the lives of community members”.

Al Ketbi praised the support of Tarahum Charity Foundation and the station's external partners, and their effective contribution to the success of the initiative and the achievement of its humanitarian goals.

The event included a range of entertainment and interactive segments that brought joy to the students, with the participation of cartoon characters and a musical band, in addition to distributing computers, tablets, bags, and school supplies to the beneficiary students.
