Sharjah Police General Command, in the presence of Colonel Humaid Saeed Bin Sahooh, Director of the Commercial Areas Police Department, honoured an Arab resident in appreciation of his honesty and good conduct, after he handed over Dhs85,000 he found in an area of the emirate to police.
The honouring came as an appreciation for the noble stance shown by the resident, who took the initiative upon finding the amount to hand it over in full to the police.
Colonel Bin Sahooh praised the honourable act performed by the honouree, emphasising that honesty and social responsibility are authentic values that contribute to establishing trust and enhancing cohesion among community members, valuing his cooperation with police, and what his behaviour reflected in terms of responsible awareness and exemplary civilised behaviour.
Sharjah Police affirmed their keenness to honour positive community models, in appreciation of their noble stances, and to encourage community members to display honesty and take the initiative to hand over lost items to the competent authorities, contributing to the preservation of rights and enhancing the security and safety system.
The honoured man expressed his thanks and appreciation to Sharjah Police for this kind gesture, stressing that what they did stemmed from their moral and community duty.
