Kerala dentist Afeena Raheem dies at Sharjah home, police find no signs of foul play

The Sharjah Police announced that an initial investigation into the death of a Kerala woman Afeena Raheem at her home in the emirate found no signs of foul play, addressing various reports about the incident.

Following a notification from the Central Operations Room about an unconscious woman at a residence, the General Department of Comprehensive Police Stations initiated a probe into her death. The woman was a dentist by profession.

Security teams and relevant units arrived swiftly at the scene, working alongside National Ambulance teams to respond appropriately and implement necessary actions. Despite being transported to the hospital in efforts to save her life, the woman sadly did not survive.

An initial examination of the scene showed no clear indications of foul play. The Public Prosecution was informed and instructed the body to be sent to the forensic medical examiner to carry out the required legal procedures and investigations following standard protocols.

The Sharjah Police General Headquarters highlighted that the swift and organised response to the situation illustrates the preparedness and skill of their security teams in managing different incidents.

Their efficiency is reflected in their quick arrival at the scene, securing the area, conducting thorough field inspections, and effective collaboration with relevant authorities. This ensures procedural integrity and a precise, transparent assessment of the circumstances surrounding the incident.
