Al Ain man purchases 10 camels worth Dhs600,000 but refuses to pay the seller

Al Ain Court of Civil, Commercial and Administrative Cases ordered a man to pay Dhs600,000 to another, from whom he had purchased 10 camels for the adjudged value, but he refused to pay the price despite receiving the camels.

According to the case papers, the complainant filed a lawsuit against the appellee requesting that he be ordered to pay him Dhs600,000 and lawsuit fees and expenses.

He said that he had sold the appellee 10 camels for the mentioned amount, but the latter refused to pay the price despite receiving the camels even after being repeatedly asked to pay.

The complainant attached mutual conversations via WhatsApp, which included his demand for payment of the amount and the response in a way that affirmed the acknowledgement of the claim and the promise to pay.

The court explained that it was established from the case papers that the complainant provided evidence for the claim through mutual conversations via WhatsApp which included the demand for the amount, and the appellee's reply indicating he promised to pay.

He, moreover, did not deny during the preparation stage what was stated in the conversations, adding that he purchased the camels from the complainant and that he was indebted for the full amount claimed, but stated an inability to pay it at the present time, but the court obliged him to pay it.
