His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has emphasised the deep and enduring ties between the UAE and the Syrian Arab Republic, describing the relationship as one rooted in affection, friendship, brotherhood and mutual appreciation.
In a post on the “X” platform, Sheikh Mohammed welcomed Syrian President Ahmed Al Sharaa to Dubai as a guest of the Arab Media Summit, highlighting the longstanding bonds between the UAE and Syria.
He expressed his happiness at seeing Syria return to a path of development and progress, saying he was optimistic about the country reclaiming its deserved position on the global stage.
Sheikh Mohammed also described Syria as a cradle of civilisation and expressed his hope for further strengthening profound and lasting relations between the two friendly peoples.
The remarks came during the 25th edition of the Arab Media Summit in Dubai, which has brought together prominent leaders, officials and media figures from across the region.
The summit is providing a platform for discussions on the evolving media landscape and the future direction of the Arab region, with high-level participation highlighting its growing significance.
