A military funeral was held at Zayed Military Hospital on Monday for Major Abdullah Shams Al Menhaly and Warrant Officer Saeed Abdullah Al Shamsi, who were martyred while carrying out a training mission in the UAE.
The funeral ceremony was attended by a number of senior leaders and officers from the Ministry of Defence, alongside family members and relatives of the two martyrs.
The ceremony paid tribute to the service and sacrifice of Major Al Menhaly and Warrant Officer Al Shamsi, who lost their lives while performing their national duty during the training mission.
The Ministry of Defence extended its deepest condolences and sincere sympathies to the families of the two martyrs.
In its message of condolence, the Ministry prayed to Almighty Allah to envelop them in His vast mercy, grant them a place in the spacious gardens of Paradise, and bestow patience and solace upon their families and loved ones during this difficult time.
The UAE honours the sacrifices of its servicemen who dedicate themselves to serving and protecting the nation, with the military funeral reflecting the deep respect and appreciation accorded to those who lose their lives in the line of duty.
The Ministry of Defence reiterated its heartfelt sympathies to the families and relatives of the two martyrs.
