Sharjah completes 90% of water distribution network worth Dhs13m in Rawdat Al Qart area

Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) has completed about 90% of the water distribution network project in Rawdat Al Qart area, with a length of 34 kilometres and at a cost of Dhs13 million, According to Engineer Faisal Al Sarkal, Director of the Water Department.

He pointed out that the project is expected to be fully completed during November 2026, adding that the project comes in line with the directives of His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, aimed at providing an advanced and sustainable infrastructure which meets the requirements of comprehensive development, and contributes to providing the best services to citizens and residents in various areas of the emirate.

Al Sarkal affirmed that the goal of the project is to enhance water supplies to new areas and meet the increasing demand resulting from the urban and economic growth witnessed by the emirate, ensuring the continuity of providing water services according to the highest standards of efficiency and quality.

He confirmed that the authority continues to implement water network projects for new areas, in addition to updating and developing existing networks in various areas of the emirate of Sharjah, based on its commitment to adopting smart and sustainable solutions that contribute to enhancing water security and supporting the sustainable development process in the emirate, Al Sarkal indicated.
