'Troll armies' distort the scene and push for harmful policies: Gargash

Dr Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Adviser to the UAE President, mentioned the considerable influence of social media but highlighted that it cannot replace well-crafted policies or objective criteria for assessing success.

In a post on the platform "X," Gargash pointed out that social media is no substitute for effective and impactful policies and the objective methods needed to evaluate them. He noted that troll farms can sometimes mislead decision-makers, pushing them towards harmful policies.

He further explained that sound judgment in the political arena is unmatched, relying on wisdom, thoughtful deliberation, and thorough evaluation.
