Al Ain man insults woman online, court orders him to compensates her with Dhs10,000

Al Ain Court of Civil, Commercial and Administrative Cases ordered a man to pay Dhs10,000 as compensation to a woman, who he insulted in a way that damaged her reputation, threatened her, and bullied her through messages containing abusive words via the internet.

In the details, a woman filed a lawsuit against a man requesting that he be ordered to pay her Dhs50,000 as compensation for all damages incurred due to the insults, threats, bullying, and contempt established by a criminal judgment, in addition to fees, costs, and attorney fees.

She added that the appellee insulted her in a way which harmed her dignity through messages containing abusive words via the internet. She explained that he was convicted under a previous criminal case.
