Acclaimed Indian actress Mrunal Thakur as brand ambassador joined Abdul Jaleel Edathil, Chairman, and Jaseel Muhammed Edathil, Managing Director for the grand opening, alongside a large number of customers, partners and invited guests.
“With the opening of Abu Dhabi flagship on Hamdan Street, we strengthening our presence in the UAE as the design-led jewellery house enters the next phase of its international growth journey,” he said.
The flagship celebration was joined by Meralda brand ambassador Mrunal Thakur, whose association with the jewellery house reflects its contemporary expression of confidence, individuality and elegance.
The celebrations continued with ‘An Evening with Mrunal,’ an intimate gathering in Abu Dhabi bringing together invited guests, customers, partners and members of the community.
The evening also provided guests an opportunity to experience its collections and the design philosophy behind the jewellery house.
Talking to media, Mrunal Thakur said “I am truly proud to be part of the brand as ambassador as not only expanding but also offering its customers its in-house designs, curation and a unique experience of jewellery for all occasions. I’s sure customers in the UAE will mesmerized with the collection of bridal, gold, diamond, gemstone, uncut and contemporary jewellery within an environment designed around discovery and personalised curation. Today I’m wearing a beautiful piece ‘rohani’ and feel like elated and special. Girls, women and jewellery is a lovely combination,” she chuckled.
Jaseel Muhammed Edathil, Managing Director – International Business, said: “Our ambition is not simply to open more stores. We want to build Meralda into one of the most desirable jewellery houses to emerge from India. The trust our customers have placed in us has allowed us to grow from our roots in India into new markets and communities,” he added.
Developed by Meralda’s internal design team, Raere interprets traditional uncut diamonds through contemporary silhouettes, spanning minimal everyday jewellery and mangalsutras to statement and signature pieces.
The collection reflects a larger philosophy at Meralda: respecting the traditions of jewellery while continually finding new ways to make them relevant to the way people want to wear jewellery today.
