The first fully AI-powered vehicle manufacturing facility for Rox in the Middle East was opened in Abu Dhabi. The facility manufactures vehicles through independent operating lines without any human intervention.
In May 2026, during the Make it in the Emirates 2026 forum, Rox announced the signing of a strategic agreement with KEZAD Group, Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi, to establish the first AI-driven advanced manufacturing centre in the Middle East, in support of the UAE's ambitions to transform into a global hub for smart manufacturing and exports.
Rox is working on developing a leading project for manufacturing high-end smart vehicles in the Middle East, leveraging the world-class industrial infrastructure and multimodal logistics network provided by KEZAD Group.
According to the scheduled plan, the AI-driven advanced manufacturing centre is expected to start its operations in the second half of 2026, targeting an annual production capacity of 300,000 vehicles by 2030, with the potential to contribute up to 10% to the UAE's Operation Dhs300bn initiative.
Once it enters the operational phase, the centre will support the production and export operations of vehicles across the Middle East and global markets, through smart and scalable manufacturing capabilities.
The AI-driven advanced manufacturing centre is another key milestone in the long-term development journey of Rox in the UAE, following the establishment of its global headquarters in Abu Dhabi and its regional spare parts centre in Dubai.
