Woman fined Dhs10,000 for loud music that disturbed Abu Dhabi resident

The Abu Dhabi Family, Civil, and Administrative Cases Court ordered a woman to pay Dhs10,000 in compensation to another individual. This decision followed a lawsuit where the plaintiff sought Dhs40,000, claiming that the woman played loud music from her car parked near his residence, disrupting his peace and causing psychological, financial, and social harm to him and his family.

In the related case, the defendant was found guilty of causing disturbance and fined Dhs10,000. This verdict was upheld on appeal, becoming definitive and unchallengeable.

The court cited Article (246) of the Civil Transactions Law, stating that compensation is required for harm caused to others, including moral damage affecting one's freedom, reputation, or social standing. It concluded that the defendant's conduct was inappropriate and offensive, justifying the compensation amount of Dhs10,000.
