The Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) has announced the temporary closure of Ali Bin Abi Talib Street, stretching from Hayawa Square to Literary Council Square in Khorfakkan's Al Bardi 4 area. This closure is part of ongoing road maintenance and upgrade projects aimed at improving the road network, enhancing traffic flow, and boosting road safety.
The SRTA stated that the closure started on Monday, Aug.24, and will continue until Saturday, Aug.29. The section of Ali Bin Abi Talib Street affected by these works is marked in red on the attached map. The maintenance will follow the scheduled plan approved by the authorities.
The authorities explained that the map showcases the closure route and work zones, along with alternative routes that road users can follow during the construction period. These alternative paths, highlighted in green, provide access to surrounding areas via the network of internal roads, bypassing the closed section of Ali Bin Abi Talib Street.
The traffic diversion includes internal roads within the area to maintain the flow of vehicles and ensure access to destinations within the Al Bardi 4 neighbourhood. Drivers can also follow the routes indicated on the map to reach connecting streets, depending on their destination.
The authorities urged drivers to comply with directional signs and traffic signals in the area, utilise the designated diversion routes, and avoid entering the work zone or roads earmarked for construction. This is crucial for ensuring their safety, protecting workers on site, and guaranteeing a safe and orderly flow of traffic.
