The Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) is advancing efforts to bolster water security and enhance the efficiency and sustainability of water networks in Khorfakkan by constructing two new reservoirs at the SEWA 1 and SEWA 2 pumping stations. Each reservoir is set to hold 2 million gallons, with the project costing Dhs28,230,000.
Engineer Saud Abdulaziz, who heads the Khorfakkan branch of SEWA, stated that the initiative aims to strengthen the water storage and distribution system by effectively doubling the capacity of both stations. This will boost the network's resilience and ability to meet rising demand, ensuring reliable and efficient water supply under various conditions.

This development will play a crucial role in reinforcing Khorfakkan's water system and aligns with SEWA’s ongoing efforts to upgrade infrastructure and enhance operational efficiency.
