Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) announced a partial closure of the dual road on the side adjacent to Al Hazana area, in the direction extending from Saeed Bin Obaid Al Jarwan Square to Sheikh Mohammed Bin Sultan Bu Alayan Square, as part of road maintenance and infrastructure development works, contributing to raising road efficiency and enhancing traffic flow.
SRTA explained that the closure will last for 6 days, from Sunday 23 to Friday 28 August, with traffic following the alternative routes shown in the approved traffic plan.
The plan shows traffic diverted to alternative roads surrounding Al Hazana area, with the continued regulation of vehicle movement through intersections and roads connected to the closure site
According to the plan, the work area is identified by the track highlighted in red, along the road adjacent to Al Hazana, while alternative routes are illustrated in green, allowing road users to continue their journeys through the road network surrounding the closure site, including roads connected to Sheikh Khalid Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Street.
SRTA called on road users to adhere to the approved traffic diversions, use the alternative routes shown in the plan, and follow directional signs and traffic safety instructions, to ensure the safety of road users and maintain traffic flow during the work period, as maintenance works and road network development fall within its mandates aimed at maintaining the efficiency of the road network and raising traffic safety levels.
