UAE gets membership of global Biological Diversity convention

In a new achievement that strengthens the UAE's presence in the international environmental action system, the UAE has been selected for membership in the Bureau of the Subsidiary Body on Scientific, Technical and Technological Advice (SBSTTA) of the Convention on Biological Diversity for the 29th and 30th sessions, with the full approval of the Asia and Pacific region countries.
This marks the first time the UAE has held a seat in one of the Convention on Biological Diversity bureaus, reflecting international confidence in its role in supporting efforts to protect biodiversity.
