Sharjah Civil Defence teams continued efforts to bring under control a fire that broke out in Industrial Area 5 on Tuesday, with no casualties reported in the incident.
Firefighting crews were deployed to the site and are working to contain the blaze using specialised vehicles and equipment, while following established emergency response procedures. Teams have been focusing on extinguishing the flames and preventing the fire from spreading to neighbouring facilities and sites in the industrial area.
Sharjah Police patrols also reinforced the emergency response by establishing a security cordon around the affected area and restricting access to the fire site. The measures were aimed at protecting members of the public and workers in the vicinity, while allowing fire engines and other emergency vehicles to reach the affected location quickly and operate without obstruction.
Support teams from the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority and Sharjah City Municipality also attended the site to assist the emergency response and strengthen safety measures.
Authorities said the concerned teams were continuing to monitor the situation on the ground and assess developments as firefighting operations remained ongoing. Civil Defence personnel were working to contain the flames, secure the surrounding area and ensure the fire did not spread to nearby properties.
The authorities urged members of the public and motorists to stay away from the affected area and follow instructions issued by emergency and security personnel. Keeping roads around the incident clear is essential to ensure that firefighting vehicles and support teams can move efficiently and carry out their duties safely.
The cause of the fire was not immediately disclosed. Relevant authorities are expected to continue monitoring the site and take necessary measures once the fire is fully brought under control.
